One of my fellow Boreal Artists posted a link to a website for Clay Illustrator Irma Gruenholz.
Her work is totally amazing, and super inspiring. She creates scenes from clay characters and photographs them for use in illustration.

I really love the style of her work, it's so clean, and the 3D element gives it an edge. I think I might give it a go myself sometime. I wish I'd come across this when designing my 3D model!
